Tuition Fees 2012
Dear Parents
Reporting to Government Authorities and student absentee monitoring expansion are two of the increasing demands being made upon school administrations. To accommodate these and other demands without creating additional resource costs it has become important to find more efficient and effective ways of working. This will, in the long term, keep the operational costs down and in turn it will help us keep school fee increases to a reasonable level.
From the start of 2012 the school will commence annual billing of tuition fees and ICT levies. These will be presented on the January 2012 fees account. Please note all payment options will remain the same as before. We believe the calculations of the various options (termly payment option 25 per cent or 10 instalments option 10 per cent) should be more straightforward.
The College Management Team and Council have carried out, as part of its annual financial cycle, analysis of next year’s budget plans and have developed a five year financial forecast. This has given us opportunity to re-examine how we compare against other schools, at both campuses, and to understand how we can balance our fees in light of their structure at the current time. I take this opportunity to announce that fees for 2012 will increase by 8.5 per cent for Junior School and 7.5 per cent for Senior School.

Our Head of Junior School, Mr Greg Miller, has been instrumental in a review of all previous programmes and the introduction of new specialised programmes e.g. Enrichment, Spelling Mastery, Jolly Phonics, iMaths and Student Portfolios. These programmes, together with the new long awaited facilities to be completed for the start of 2012, will bring a new significant value adding opportunity for the students. There have been some additional cost hurdles during the introduction of both the programmes and the buildings and the additional 1 per cent has been levied this year, to cover those set up costs.
