Nepal art and craft exhibition in the Senior School library

Bishnu Bahadur Yonjan, the president of the Mother and Children Art Foundation, will join the Senior School community next week. Bishnu is one of the very knowledgeable trekking leaders to Nepal, India, Bhutan and Tibet. He has been working in this field since he was 11 years old and is an experienced Thangka artist as well. He is the founding President of MCAF. The College connection with MCAF was made via the World Challenge students on their expedition to Nepal over the summer holidays.

During his brief visit to Perth Bishnu will be setting up an art and craft exhibition in the Senior School library next week and is hoping to sell the artwork, jewellery etc during Monday and Tuesday afternoons after school. All parents and students are welcome to visit and purchase items from the exhibition.

Bishnu will be speaking at assembly on Wednesday morning (8.45am in the performing arts centre) – and again parents are most welcome to join us.

Funds raised through the sale of the artwork and jewellery will go to the charity - http://www.mcaf.org.np - so feel free to come and look and maybe try out your bartering skills.Bob Simpson, Director of Curriculum
