Welcome to the Helena College Senior School Library
The library is an integral part of the college community providing a welcoming and user-centred environment. We aim to:
- provide information services that support and enrich the teaching and learning programmes of the College, including the MYP in years 7 to 10.
- to develop important information literacy skills so that students are empowered to become independent learners and thinkers in the 21st century
- to promote a culture of reading and enjoyment of literature through a range of activities and initiatives
- provide a stimulating physical environment where students are encourages to explore the connections between themselves and the international community and becomes life long learners.
The library is staffed by a qualified full-time teacher librarian and library officers. The opening hours are:
Monday – Friday: 8.30am to 4.20pm
Open recess: Monday to Thursday
Open lunchtimes: Monday to Friday
