We are pleased to announce that Helena students have exceeded the national results in every measure in the testing of Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 in NAPLAN 2019.
These outstanding results demonstrate the value for our students in the appropriately challenging nature of the inquiry-based International Baccalaureate programme, for students in the primary and middle years.

As we do each year, we measure this data against the results for each student in their previous NAPLAN testing. This enables us to see where each individual has made progress and where there is further opportunity to support their learning.
Obviously, we are very pleased with this year’s NAPLAN results. Whilst we acknowledge that it is just one element in the educational picture for each student, it also provides us with information for whole year curriculum planning and for individual student intervention programmes.
I would like to extend my personal appreciation for the efforts of our teaching staff. Their dedication to academic growth and pastoral care for each and every student is exemplary.
