Year 1 Camp

Year 1 had a fabulous time on the two day camp at Point Peron, and the staff were delighted to have such well-behaved children staying.

On the first day, activities included crate climbing, working as a team to have our ‘climber’ reach the top of crates stacked on top of one another. The children were very brave and approached their harnesses with determination.

The weather was kind to us, and we enjoyed the sunshine whilst back in Perth it poured. In the evening, we took a night walk with glow sticks and torches. The oval was our musical playground and a stunning backdrop for a little dance with all the glow sticks and Mrs Kennedy’s light rope. We star gazed and reflected on our current Inquiry into light. Where do the stars come from?

The next morning, we headed to the beach for raft building, sailing and a challenge: How to keep the water in a bucket full of holes? Afterwards, there was time for sandcastles and a paddle before lunch and heading back to school. It was an action-packed couple of days full of team spirit and friendship.
