Enrolment process

Thank you for considering Helena College for your child. We know choosing the right school is an important decision and we are here to help.

We encourage you to begin the enrolment process early, by taking a campus tour or by contacting our enrolments coordinator.

Our Process

Step One: Registration

Families who are interested in a place at the College complete the online Registration Form which is essentially an expression of interest.  A Registration Form must be completed for each potential student and carries a $110 administration fee however this is waived for alumni (Old Helenians).

Step Two: Interview

We will contact you for a pre-enrolment interview in the year before your child is due to start with us, except in the case of Year 6 places which are finalised when students are in Year 4. Families are offered pre-enrolment interviews in order of registration date, with siblings given priority.

Step Three: Offer of Place

Following the interview, an offer of a place may be made. To confirm enrolment, you will need to complete an Enrolment Agreement and make the required payment.

Step Four: Acceptance of Offer

Once you have completed the necessary paperwork and payments, your child’s place at the College will be confirmed.

Enrolment Policy

The order of priority for student enrolment at the Darlington Campus is:

  • those with siblings at the College
  • in order of registration date

The order of priority for student enrolment at the Glen Forrest Campus is:

  • those already enrolled at the Darlington Campus (K-5)
  • those with siblings at the College
  • in order of registration date

For children entering at the regular entry points, an interview and tour of the College will be arranged (usually nine to eighteen months before the nominated commencement) if a position is available.

When a vacancy becomes available at the College, the next family on the waiting list will be contacted for an interview and tour.

An offer of place may be made following the enrolment interview. The position is confirmed once the enrolment agreement has been signed and returned to the College, and the enrolment fee has been paid.
