Helena College is delighted to confirm that Senior School French Teacher, Mme Béatrice Archambaud,  has been selected for the 2022 French teacher award – prof de l’année 2022 for the state of Western Australia.

The award was launched in 2020 by the Federation of Associations of French Teachers in Australia (FATFA)  in collaboration with the French Embassy in Canberra and SBS radio and takes place every two years. One prize is awarded per state.

The award committee was very impressed with Mme Archaumbaud’s dedication and the wide range of activities undertaken to help students flourish in their second language learning journey.

FATFA President, Diane de Saint Léger, said that “Béatrice’s leadership, dynamism and ongoing commitment to the profession are outstanding  and we would like to congratulate her once again for her wonderful achievement and contribution to the profession.”

Helena College Principal, Mr Peter Coombs, commented that it is wonderful to see the College’s staff recognised in this way, and was very pleased for for Mme Archaumbaud.

“We are very fortunate at Helena College to have high quality, experienced educators on our team, and awards such as this are a terrific acknowledgement of the efforts they put into encouraging the love of learning in our young people. Our learning culture recognises the importance of balancing learning and achievement with student wellbeing, placing students at the centre of everything we do.”
